About

My name is Kerry and I am married to James and we have three amazing, beautiful children, our daughter Charleigh and twin sons Henry and Archie.

In May 2012 I was involved in an accident resulting in both of my legs being broken.

This blog is my way of dealing with the accident and my road to recovery and getting back up again.

Thank you for reading xx

  1. Kerry this is such an amazing idea! Total self help. I write a little blog on my phone when i’m feeling crappy or if I have made a bit of progress. All carefully kept for the day when I can look back at my fixator journey and think ‘wow, seems like a million years ago’!

It will come….. And in the mean time we are all here nudging each other in the right direction.

    • It has helped me so much!

I can’t wait to read it all back when I am back up and running around and it will all seem like a bad dream a long time ago.

Glad to have found you guys, you rock xxx

  2. Hi there.
Came across this blog whilst doing some research for a college project, I have also acquainted Mr. Ilizarov fixator when I was aged 12 and again when I was 15. (I was diagnosed with leg length discrepancy so although my legs were not broken, one was considerably shorter than the other so I had to undergo the operation)

It’s amazing to see how much process you have made and I think it is amazing that someone else who has had an external fixator can experience similar emotions to myself. Just want to say keep up the progress, you’re amazing and I am truly sorry to hear about your accident, but just remember, after all the pain, depressing thoughts, everything, you’re going to come out as a much stronger person 🙂

Stay positive and just remember you’re going to be okay in the end, and if it is not okay then it is not the end.

    Humairah 🙂

PS. Love how you named your frame, Nicholas, very inventive! 🙂
